| Pietrasanta
is one of the most culturally alive cities in the entire region of Versilia,
thanks to the presence of the numerous artists, and international community.
And there, in Versilia is the Osteria Da Romano, owned Guido Petrucci
who has created a very inviting Tuscan Style. The
entrance offers a warm atmosphere with
tables on the ground floor looking out into the greenery, or more intimate
accomodations can be found on the second floor. In the summer there are
also tables on an outdoor terrace near a stream surrounded by Papyrus.
Traditional Tuscan Cusisine . Among the dishes offered, there is a wonderful
Tordelli with Ragu, Spaghetti alla Trabaccolara, Penne with Scampi, and
Mountain Wheat Soup .
For the second course, try the outstanding fried chicken and rabbit, beef
filet, or filet with peppers, or the fried fish of the day. Each plate
is accompanied by local fresh vegetables of the season; mushrooms...The
lunch service is fluid and smooth; the night holds a relaxed atmosphere
where one samples the mixed anitpastos of local salumi, fresh olive oil
marinated vegetables, and a wonderfully fresh hot focciata straight from
the maremma oak wood oven which also makes fantastic pizza. The
deserts are exquisite; and it is difficult to chose between the marzipan
cake and the semolina.
A variety of house wines are available; with labels of quality, and above
all, many choices of excellent Tuscan wines.
